Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains how Dan Black Digital ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects any personal information you share with us, whether that's through this website, by email, or while we're working together on an engagement. If anything here isn't clear, email us at danb@danblackdigital.com and we'll explain.
Information we collect
We collect information in a small number of ways:
- Directly from you, when you fill in the contact form on this website — your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, how you heard about us, and whatever you tell us in your message.
- Directly from you, when you email or speak with us about a potential or live engagement.
- Indirectly, if you're introduced to us by a client, contact or referral, or if we meet at an industry event.
We don't collect sensitive personal data, such as health or financial information, through this website, and we don't ask for more than we need to respond to your enquiry.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and work out whether, and how, we can help.
- To deliver a consulting engagement, course or template you've agreed to.
- To keep basic records for accounting, invoicing and legal compliance.
- Occasionally, to let you know about something relevant to a conversation we've already had.
We won't add you to a marketing list without asking first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client information for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically no longer than seven years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see "Your rights" below.
Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We may share it with:
- Service providers who support our business, such as our website host or email provider, who only use it to provide that service to us. Messages sent through this website's contact form are relayed to us by Formspree, a third-party form-processing service.
- Authorities, where we're legally required to share it — for example, for tax purposes.
We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the UK, other than where it passes through infrastructure operated by service providers such as our website host, in which case we only use providers with appropriate safeguards in place.
Cookies
This website uses a very limited number of cookies, and none for advertising or marketing. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, where there's no good reason for us to keep it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email danb@danblackdigital.com. We'll respond within one month. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

This website contains links to other websites, including client and partner sites. This policy only applies to danblackdigital.co.uk. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites, so we'd encourage you to read their own policies before sharing any personal information with them.
